EMMA Malaysia 2026-2027 International Judge Training & Competition Training

The road to the 2026-2027 competition season officially began with an intensive three-day program dedicated to education, calibration, and community growth. The EMMA Malaysia International Judge Training and Competition Training serves as the cornerstone of the association’s commitment to quality, ensuring that both officials and competitors are aligned with the highest international standards of car audio excellence.

Days 1 & 2: International Judge Certification

The first two days focused on the elite group of 20 attendees aspiring to achieve or renew their International Judge status. The program transitioned from deep technical theory to high-pressure practical application.

  • Day 1 (Theory): A comprehensive review of the 2026-2027 EMMA rules, harmonizing the understanding of sound quality metrics and installation safety standards.
  • Day 2 (Practical): Candidates underwent a rigorous assessment across five specialized stations, with a strict 3 to 5-minute window to evaluate each car.

The assessment was led by EMMA INTERNATIONAL HEAD JUDGES & EMMA INTERNATIONAL JUDGES:

  • Station 1: Position & Focus – Ricky Sutanto (HJ)
  • Station 2: Sound Stage – Sam Quek
  • Station 3: Tonal Accuracy – Steven Lay (HJ)
  • Station 4: Overall Spectral Balance (OSB) – Linus Tan (HJ)
  • Station 5: Listening Pleasure (LP) – Moi Fatt

Following the assessments, trainers analyzed individual judging styles to ensure each candidate demonstrated the objectivity and technical mastery required for international certification.

The final day saw a significant increase in participation, with 45 attendees gathering for the EMMA Malaysia 2026 Competition Training. This session was designed specifically for competitors, shops, and enthusiasts looking to sharpen their edge for the upcoming season.
